Job Description
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Position Summary We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join an outpatient primary care team. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. The Family Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively within a clinical team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a supportive outpatient setting. 60-70/hr Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations including health histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and lab results
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide preventive care services including wellness exams, screenings, and immunizations
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP-BC or FNP-C)
- Active state Nurse Practitioner license and DEA registration (as applicable)
- Clinical experience in primary care or family medicine preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
