Since that time, the group expanded to include care at Medical Center of the Rockies in 2007 and Greeley Hospital in 2019. In 2023, the group formed NCH Health Partners (HP) through which it provides post-acute care in approximately 19 locations, including SNFs, ILFs, and ALFs in northern Colorado. About this Role Join our dedicated Post-Acute Care team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and play a key role in delivering comprehensive health care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) at PVH. This position is ideal for an advanced practice clinician who values autonomy, collaboration, and patient-centered care. The NP will provide medication management and consultative support to the psychiatric team to optimize mental health outcomes for patients in the BHU. The schedule for this position is Monday 10a-8p, and Tuesday through Friday, 2p-7p, for a total of 30 hours per week. Reporting to the NCH Medical and Associate Medical Director for PVH, there is 24/7 support from an on-site hospitalist. Start date on or before November 1, 2026. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Medical screening and Intake (H&P) of patients age 18 and up being admitted to PVH BHU, with possible follow up visits for medical needs of patients that are already there. Managing medication regimens for patients, including initiating, adjusting, and monitoring non-psychiatric medications. Assisting the psychiatry team in managing medical complications of psychiatric medications. Using best efforts to see 13-15 patients per day when volume allows. Attending appropriate Facility meetings. Attending monthly Employer meetings. Timely and accurate completion of medical records in accordance with applicable contracts and regulations, including completion of medical H and Ps within 24 hours and progress notes on the day of service and discharge summaries if applicable within 24 hours. Timely return of pages, Epic Secure chats, calls, and correspondence from physicians, APPs or staff. Adhering to behavioral standards of Employer, including but not limited to those standards as set forth in Northern Colorado Hospitalist's Personnel Handbook. Complying with the policies, procedures and guidelines of Employer and facilities. Maintaining current licensure and certification in good standing under the laws of the State of Colorado or as required by any federal or local agency. Maintaining any certifications or continuing education requirements of Employer and Facility, including (without limitation) being board certified or board eligible in Employee's specialty, fulfilling State of Colorado and Facility continuing medical education requirements. Maintaining Facility and clinic privileges in good standing at the Facilities. Practicing in compliance with the current standards of medicine and in conformity with the prevailing standards of medicine. Practicing in a manner consistent with all principals of professional ethics and consistent with any and all Federal and State Health Care Laws and Regulations. Other reasonable requirements of Employer and Facility, including but not limited to any service agreement between Employer and the Facilities. Requirements and Qualifications FNP or General NP license with current and unrestricted Colorado RN and APRN licenses. Active DEA license and prescriptive authority. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a provider preferred with desire for increased autonomy. Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and clinical medical decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients, families, and care teams. Empathetic, patient-centered approach to general medicine. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment. Commitment to the mission and values of Northern Colorado Hospitalists. Requires the ability to sit, stand, and perform examinations for extended periods. Requires focus and time management skills in a mobile clinical environment. Involves frequent communication via phone, secure messaging, and EMR systems. Benefits and Compensation Compensation is projected to be $87,600 - $92,000 annually, based on shift payments for the schedule noted above. Incumbent may also pick up occasional additional shifts if desired.
