Job Description
Overview Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Practitioner. This position may report to our Denver (Midtown) clinic or Lonetree (Skyridge Medical Center Campus) clinic. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join our extremely busy oncology clinic . In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, working closely with oncologists, nurses, and the care team to deliver timely, high‑quality, patient‑centered care. This environment is fast‑paced and high‑acuity , requiring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to efficiently manage a full and dynamic schedule.
Salary Range:
$110,000- 145,000.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
- Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
- Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
- Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
- Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Often incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
- Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
- Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
- Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
- Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.
- May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.
- May promote/provide staff education
- Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after-hour calls Qualifications Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.

This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Clinical Nurse Specialist Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. AOCNS preferred (if applicable).
