Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner First Assist for locum tenens coverage in Loveland, Colorado (CO) . Starting in September 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

Details:

• Full-time schedule, four 10-hour shifts per week
• Call required one night per week and one weekend per month
• Cardiac Surgery First Assist role in Operating Room setting
• One to three surgeries per day
• Adult patient population only
• Work alongside five surgeons and established cardiac surgery team
• Level One Trauma Center with 300 beds and 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
• Responsibilities include first assist in coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, aneurysm repair, and thoracic procedures
• Experience required in endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Exposure to advanced procedures including ventricular assist devices and thoracic surgeries

Requirements:

• Active Colorado license
• Proficiency in Cardiac Surgery First Assist procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting with endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
