Job Description

Join a collaborative thoracic surgery team in Bridgeport, CT as a Locum APP where you'll work in a high-quality practice focused on minimally invasive and robotic procedures. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse practitioner or PA with strong thoracic and robotic surgery skills who enjoys a mix of OR first assist duties, inpatient care, and outpatient clinic work.
Compensation:
$180 per hour Assignment highlights
Schedule:
3-4 days per week Shift length: 10-hour shifts
Call:
unlikely Clinical mix: OR first assist, inpatient rounds/admissions/discharges, and outpatient clinic visits Practice environment A thoracic surgery group with an emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic techniques Caseload includes lung and foregut surgery Collaborative team culture with surgeons, nursing, and multidisciplinary support What you'll do First assist in the operating room for thoracic procedures Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient clinic Provide inpatient care, including rounding, admissions, and discharges Work closely with surgeons and the care team to coordinate patient care Keep accurate, timely documentation in the EMR Qualifications Active Connecticut NP or PA license required Solid experience in non-cardiac thoracic surgery required Robotic surgery experience required Comfortable managing both inpatient and outpatient thoracic surgery patients Experience with minimally invasive thoracic procedures preferred If you're looking for a role that blends advanced surgical assisting with comprehensive perioperative and clinic care in a team-oriented setting, this is a great opportunity.
