Job Description

Salary is $45.00 per hour Part-Time position working 14 hours per week. In center position; Work schedule: (2) 8 hour days per week between Monday and Thursday reoccurring weekly. Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate, professional and dynamic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing outpatient comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management services for children, adolescents, and/or adults experiencing mental health and behavioral health conditions. As part of a nonprofit community behavioral health organization, the PMHNP works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed, evidence-based, and family-centered care to diverse and underserved populations.

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Diagnosing mental and behavioral health conditions using
DSM-5-TR
criteria Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with Florida APRN and DEA regulations Provide psychoeducation to youth and caregivers on diagnoses and treatment options Collaborate with therapists, case managers, primary care providers, and community partners Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the EHR Support crisis assessments and stabilization planning as needed Participate in case staffing, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program Board Certified PMHNP (PMHNP-BC) with active, unrestricted Florida APRN license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain) Experience working with children and adolescents preferred Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology, particularly for youth Skilled in diagnostic assessment, medication management, and treatment planning Familiarity with trauma-informed care and strengths-based approaches Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills Proficient in EHR systems and knowledgeable of HIPAA, Medicaid, and compliance requirements Easterseals Florida has been rated a Great Place to Work (2020 - 2025) by our employees!
