Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced clinical care, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans across diverse medical settings. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through proactive management, health coaching, and collaborative care. Responsibilities Perform thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status across various age groups, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult populations. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, incorporating medication management, injections (including botulinum toxin), suturing, and other procedures. Manage acute pain cases, conduct triage assessments, and provide urgent care interventions in outpatient or emergency settings. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently. Administer injections, IV infusions, perform phlebotomy, catheterizations, and other invasive procedures following sterile techniques. Coordinate with specialists for diagnostic evaluations including sonography, laboratory tests, medical imaging, and spinal taps to ensure comprehensive patient care. Engage in health coaching and patient education on topics such as nutrition, medication adherence, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes or heart disease), and preventive care strategies. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice in the respective state. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or trauma centers, nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children (pediatrics), seniors (geriatrics), patients with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and case management; experience working with multidisciplinary teams is essential.
