Responsibilities Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients across age groups, including children, adults, and seniors. Prescribe medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and botulinum toxin treatments when appropriate. Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment strategies to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers to ensure integrated patient care. Document all clinical encounters accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication management, and self-care strategies. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including children (pediatrics), geriatrics (memory care), and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems documentation and patient management. Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with telehealth platforms to deliver remote psychiatric services effectively. Skills in crisis intervention, triage assessment, discharge planning, case management, and utilization review. Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile techniques applicable in clinical environments.
