In this role, you will work closely with our board-certified pain management physicians to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Our clinic focuses on improving our patients' quality of life through a multidisciplinary approach, utilizing both non-surgical care and interventional pain management strategies. Responsibilities Patient Care:
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients experiencing complex acute and chronic pain conditions.
Medication Management:
Prescribe and oversee pain control regimens safely and effectively, strictly adhering to Florida state prescribing laws and clinic protocols.
Procedural Support:
Perform or assist with interventional pain management procedures (such as joint injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks) depending on your experience and credentialing.
Diagnostics:
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans) and laboratory tests.
Collaboration:
Work seamlessly alongside physicians, medical assistants, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on health management, alternative treatment strategies, post-procedure care, and physical rehabilitation expectations.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed, accurate, and prompt patient records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Compliance:
Maintain familiarity with specialized billing practices, including CPT coding and Workers' Compensation guidelines.
Requirements Education:
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program OR graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
Licensure:
Active, unencumbered APRN or PA license to practice in the State of Florida.
Certifications:
Current DEA registration. Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in pain management, orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), or a related specialty is strongly preferred. (Highly motivated new graduates with clinical rotation experience in pain management may be considered).
