Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with experience working in Pain clinic to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. You will play a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and developing personalized treatment plans that improve patients' quality of life. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring to evaluate pain levels and overall health status. Familiarity with commonly prescribed Pain medications, as well as common Pain procedures. Experience educating patients on procedures such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, RFAs, spinal cord stimulators, SI joint procedures, etc. Manage analgesic prescriptions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Order medical imaging techniques like x-rays, MRI and CT scans as needed. Refer to specialists such as physical therapists as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with coding standards like
CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9
for billing and insurance purposes. This positionDOES NOT
include giving injections. ALL injections are done by the Pain physician. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your practicing state; experience working in a pain clinic or related specialty required.MUST BE BOARD-CERTIFIED.
Strong knowledge of analgesic pharmacology (gabapentinoids, opioids, muscle relaxants, SNRIs, etc) Experience evaluating pain-related outcomes (such as improved physical function and quality of life).Pay:
