Functional Medicine Practice Part-time:
1 day per week in our East Orlando office. Scheduling flexibility...you pick the day! Dawson Integrative & Functional Medicine - Orlando, FL This is long but I feel it is necessary to be fully transparent because this is my heart & soul . We have built something different. We are a rapidly growing, full-spectrum integrative and functional medicine clinic in Orlando focused on root-cause healing, evidence-based functional medicine, hormone optimization, longevity, prevention, metabolic health and truly individualized care. We just celebrated our 5 year anniversary and we hold the title of Orlando's Best 2024 & 2025 AND Best of Florida 2025. We love what we do! Our staff includes 2 acupuncture physicians and 3 wonderful APRNs. Our patients are highly engaged, informed, motivated, and looking for providers who will listen, educate, collaborate, and guide. We ARE looking for someone who: Is compassionate, emotionally intelligent, patient-centered and has amazing communication skills Loves educating and empowering patients and comfortable with shared decision making Understands that medicine is both science AND human connection Understands the nuances of functional medicine principles; thinking outside the box in a holistic manner is a must Is collaborative, adaptable, and open-minded Thrives in an integrative, innovative environment Wants to continuously learn and evolve Can critically think beyond conventional algorithms while still practicing safely and responsibly Understands the art of balancing evidence, clinical experience, and individualized patient goals Comfortable and confident in both prescribing medications but also recommending natural alternatives Welcomes patients of all ages (pediatrics and beyond) Appreciates paid administration & chart prep time as well as unrushed appointments averaging 30-60 minutes Desires a company that supports and respects work-life balance but can reciprocate the same support and respect Our ideal candidate is comfortable managing: Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) including testosterone utilizing the most up-to-date guidance and having a true passion for the art of hormone replacement Hormone imbalances/dysregulations Thyroid optimization (thyroid disease and subclinical) Adrenal health Primary care medication management Medical weight loss & metabolic health Peptide therapies Functional medicine & root-cause approaches to "all things functional medicine" including: autoimmune conditions, gut health / microbiome medicinre, MCAS / histamine-related disorder, pediatric neurodivergent/ASD disorders, neuro-Immune dysfunction, dysautonomia syndromes, knowledge of genetics & SNPs (basic FM knowledge), fatigue & mitochondrial dysfunction, mold/mycotoxin illness (we have training available on these) Longevity & preventative medicine Nutritional and lifestyle medicine Integrative psychiatry / mood support Complex chronic illness cases Comfortable with off-label treatments (when appropriate): LDN, Leucovorin, etc Knowledge of comprehensive, root-cause laboratory testing as well as specialized functional medicine testing. Supplement knowledge (note, we believe "less is best" in regards to supplements) Comfortable in identifying patients that would benefit from other services we offer, including acupuncture What Makes Our Practice Different:

Active Florida AUTONOMOUS
(REQUIRED) APRN license •there are no supervising MD/DO-we only have APRN on staff. DEA License Required Family Nurse Practitioner due to the age we see Medical Malpractice required Menopause Society Certified (bonus but not required) Functional Medicine certification, training or seasoned clinical experience preferred Long-term contract preferred - we are looking for stability for our patients and staff family At this time, we are not able to consider practitioners that have their own practice and just temporarily looking to "fill the gaps" Experience, confidence and comfortability in the aforementioned treatment areas Ability to manage both conventional and integrative approaches appropriately Strong communication skills and bedside manner Growth mindset and willingness to learn Must be compassionate, emotionally intelligent, professional and team-oriented Must value collaboration and shared decision-making with patients Reliability, punctuality, and strong attendance are essential. Chronic absenteeism or unreliability are not conducive to our practice culture or the level of patient care we strive to provide Must understand the importance of consistency and continuity of care in a relationship-based practice Compensation & Perks:
Competitive compensation Part-time; 1 day per week. You pick the day! Hours are 8am-4:30 pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch •also open to evening or weekend PAID admin & chart prep time :) Scheduling template sample: 8am-9am admin & chart prep time; 9am-12pm patient visits; 12-12:30 lunch; 12:30-4pm patient visits; 4-430pm admin time.
