Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will serve as a primary and specialized care provider, managing patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes, support patient education, and enhance overall well-being. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients across various specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine. Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, ensuring proper dosing and safety protocols. Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections with precision and sterile technique. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with specialists for diagnostic evaluations including sonography and medical imaging; manage referrals for advanced procedures like cardiac catheterization or ICU care. Engage in telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high-quality standards. Participate in clinical research initiatives related to infectious disease care, pain management, or post-acute care to advance evidence-based practices. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication adherence, and chronic disease management. Support discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and working within Workers' Compensation law when applicable. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your state; additional certifications in acute pain management or esthetic laser treatment are a plus. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, emergency room settings, ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and utilization management standards. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Skilled in performing advanced procedures like spinal taps, venipuncture (phlebotomy), tube feeding management, ventilator support, and sterile processing techniques. Critical care experience including ICU or PICU settings; experience with dialysis or ventilator management is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics (toddler care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to triage urgent cases confidently in outpatient or inpatient environments. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining safety standards during procedures like suturing or catheter care.
