Job Description

EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Education Program or Physician Assistant Education Program; Licensed through the FL Board of Nursing; Must posses a DEA number.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Active nurse licensure in the state of Florida. Active DEA certification in the state of Florida. 1 year Detox & Mental Health Experience preferred. Must understand Detox, MAT medication. BSL Certification.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
History and physicals, initial psychiatric evaluations, assessment and lab reviews for clients paperwork. Communicate effectively with DON and nursing staff. Proper prescribing and ordering medications. Effectively document all information accordingly in client's medical records to include substance abuse and mental health diagnosis. Establish and maintain cooperative working relations. Maintain confidentiality of information and records, staff interrelationships, and communicate sensitive information. Comply with facility policies, protocols and program regulations, to ensure appropriate medical care is being implemented. Foster an environment in which collaboration is valued; while maintaining excellence in clinical, and medical care insuring proper education is provided to clients. Assist in emergency situations as directed and as needed. Treat clients with dignity and respect. Perform other duties as assigned. Performing overall assessment of patients' conditions through history taking, record reviews, physical examinations, etc. Diagnosing and developing individualized treatment plans. Writing orders for diagnostic testing including, but not limited to laboratory, blood and urine tests. Developing meaningful goals to assist patients and their families in attaining the optimum level of care. Contributing to the achievement of quality care standards, and actively participates in patient safety initiatives. Maintaining continuing education as required by the specialty section and the appropriate professional licensing board. Providing patient care in accordance with professional standards, core values and commitment to service excellence. Other duties assigned
