Job Description
Job Summary Tanner Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), specifically a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, to help launch and grow a new menopause-focused care program based in Carrollton, GA. The APP will provide comprehensive care to women experiencing perimenopause or menopause-related concerns, including patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Care will be delivered from medical office setting, in accordance with state licensure laws and under the supervision of OB/GYN physicians. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including OB/GYN practices, behavioral health providers, hospital departments, and community agencies, to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM (or until the last patient is seen) Practice location: Tanner Health Pavilion, conveniently located across from Tanner Medical Center
- Carrollton; Villa Rica location will be added if/when the patient population demonstrates the need Independent patient panel with continuity of care Strong clinical, administrative, and operational support System-wide use of Epic EMR Competitive compensation with a comprehensive benefits package Education Completed Master of Nursing with specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Experience Six months of related experience Certification/License Currently hold or be able to obtain a Georgia Nurse Practitioner License Currently hold or be able to obtain a Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner Currently hold or be eager to obtain a Certification with The Menopause Society, which is required Qualifications Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public events.

Area of Responsibilities Customer Service:
Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Communicates effectively with patients and management regarding service recovery opportunities. Works together with other team members to achieve Office and System customer service goals.Development:
Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent medical assistant duties. Participates in continuing education. Participates in the development of new programs (ex: Process Improvement, Quality Initiatives).Patient Care:
Performs evaluations, provide treatment and counsel patients. Order and interpret test results and recommend treatment of patients. Administer therapeutic procedures. Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval. Provide physicians with assistance during surgery or complicated medical procedures. Demonstrates specialty and population specific competencies. Demonstrates an ability to effectively communicate based on specific specialty and population. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising physician.Quality:
Maintains evidence based medical care and clinical charting. Participates with clinical tracking and feedback. Integrates with clinical and administrative teams to administer high quality care.Teamwork:
Works well with others and functions as a team player. Offers ideas and solutions for issues that affect the team and work area. Participates in the training and skills development of new clinical staff. Assists as needed. Compliance Statement Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline. Education Master's Degree Experience Six months of related experience Licenses & Certifications Georgia Nurse Practitioner License Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License Healthcare Provider (CPR) Supervision Regularly uses assistance and leads the work of one to four co-employees, may instruct new employees and correct work routines, checks results and may discuss with employee's superior. Qualifications Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public screening events. ACLS recommended. Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e.ACLS, PALS
) Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner training (MSN). Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians Must maintain high degree of confidentiality. Must meet credentialing criteria. Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician. Must possess the sense or discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards. Prior experience in a like specialty preferred. Definitions Nurse practitioner provides patient services through the performance of patient evaluation, assessment and treatment in the medical office setting as allowed by state licensure laws under the supervision of the medical director. The nurse practitioner works closely with the clinic staff, hospital departments and community agencies. Contact With Others Requires frequent contact with many persons at different levels inside and outside of the organization to carry out organization policies and programs and obtain willing acceptance, consent, or action. Work is subject to general review only and requires considerable accuracy and responsibility. Continually works with reports, records, plans, and programs of a major functional area of the organization where integrity is required to safeguard the organization's position. Duties may involve the preparation of data on which the administration bases important decisions and are highly confidential. Supervisory Responsibility Supervises a small section of employees (up to 15), orients and trains employees, schedules, assigns, checks, and maintains flow of employees' work, carries out most personnel decisions, and initiates minor personnel actions.
