Family Medicine Immunizations Primary Care Services Women's Health Services Job Description- An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a medical provider who treats, diagnoses, prescribes, and/or performs or assists in surgical procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
Continuous:
sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.Frequent:
walking.Occasional:
standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- May be exposed tomunicable disease and body fluids, and chemicals.
- May be required to deal with hostile patients and/or families.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
- Current Hawaii State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant in good standing
- If licensed as an APRN, current board certification in one (1) of the following: o Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) o Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) o Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) o Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP)
- Prescriptive authority for non-controlled and controlled substances is required.
- Credentialing and privileging required.
- Current BLS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE
- If licensed as an APRN, two (2) years nursing experience or successfulpletion of an APRN Fellowship Program for any APRN position.
- One (1) year of clinical experience working as an APRN or Physician Assistant preferred.
