Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly qualified Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adults. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in psychiatric care, including behavioral health, psychopharmacology, and crisis intervention. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential. The Nurse Practitioner will work in an outpatient setting ensuring high-quality patient-centered care while adhering to HIPAA and NCQA standards. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients across age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Prescribe medications and manage psychopharmacological treatments with expertise in psychotropic agents and medication administration protocols. Utilize diagnostic tools including laboratory testing, medical imaging, and medical records review to inform clinical decisions. Provide mental health counseling and health coaching tailored to patient needs. Coordinate discharge planning and case management for patients in an outpatient setting. Manage complex cases and ensure comprehensive care delivery through coordination with a multidisciplinary team. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR/EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Engage in ongoing professional development through clinical research participation and staying current with medical terminology updates like
ICD-9/10
coding. Requirements Valid Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Current state licensure with authorization to prescribe medications. Proven experience in behavioral health with knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication management. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Experience with inpatient and/or outpatient mental health services preferred.
