Medical terminology Geriatrics Full Job Description Job Summary Are you interested in owning your own Practice? We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. For suitable candidate we offer a fast track partnership. We are a podiatry clinic of 35+ years with some of the most advance technologies at hand. We provide a wide range of care to patients off all ages including advanced wound care, newest FDA cleared treatment for neuropathy. In this role, you will serve as a vital member of the medical team providing services in your area of specialty while learning about our present patients. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practices, innovative procedures, and collaborative care. This position offers a full support for you to become an independent practitioner as the owner prepares to slow down and retire in the near future, most likely in 3-5 years. Duties Perform thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to establish accurate diagnoses. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals as needed. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Conduct specialized procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, and esthetic laser treatments. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation and medical records management. Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication management, and chronic disease prevention. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice in Iowa. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy. ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures and billing processes. Familiarity with specialized treatments like botulinum toxin therapy for esthetic purposes or pain management techniques. Ability to work with individuals across age groups including children (pediatrics) and elderly. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with strong communication abilities; committed to providing compassionate care while adhering to HIPAA standards.
