The NP will oversee Registered Nurse Technicians (RNTs) and other clinical staff, ensure compliance with Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) regulations, and maintain adherence to the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and Rule 116 requirements. This role combines direct patient care, clinical leadership, and regulatory oversight to support safe, effective, and person-centered services. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Management Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning Provide ongoing medical care, including prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed Respond to medical concerns, incidents, and emergencies with appropriate clinical judgment Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and caregivers to ensure continuity of care Staff Oversight & Supervision Oversee and supervise RNT staff and other nursing personnel to ensure quality care delivery Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to RNTs and direct care staff Review staff performance related to clinical practices and medication administration Assist in training and competency validation in alignment with Rule 116 requirements Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure all clinical practices comply with Illinois Administrative Code Rule 116 and the Nurse Practice Act Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, medication administration, and compliance activities Oversee completion and accuracy of regulatory documentation and audits Participate in internal and external audits, surveys, and quality assurance reviews Monitor and address medication errors, incidents, and corrective action plans Documentation & Quality Assurance Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards Ensure proper documentation of treatment plans, assessments, and follow-ups Review clinical documentation completed by RNTs for accuracy and compliance Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and risk management processes Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the State of Illinois Advanced clinical training with prescriptive authority Strong knowledge of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and DHS Rule 116 requirements Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience (preferred in community or behavioral health settings) Experience supervising nursing or clinical staff Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure regulatory compliance Must pass all required background checks, including Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry verification Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience working in developmental disability settings (CILA, ICF/DD, etc.) Prior experience overseeing RNT or DSP staff Familiarity with Therap, EHR, or other electronic health record systems Experience with audits, compliance reviews, and quality assurance processes Why Join ATTUF Group - Illinois?
