Job Description

Nurse Practitioner CDL Medical Examiner Needed - Elgin, IL Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented nurse with a passion for supporting truck drivers? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner to join our team and perform CDL medical examinations. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified nurse to use their skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough DOT physical examinations for CDL drivers, including vision, hearing, blood pressure, and other vital signs Review medical history and assess driver fitness for safe operation of commercial vehicles Document all findings and issue DOT medical certificates Maintain accurate and confidential medical records Stay up-to-date with DOT regulations and guidelines Provide excellent customer service to all drivers
Qualifications:
Current ARPN or Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Illinois Minimum of 1 year of experience performing DOT physicals Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and guidelines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented and organized Compassionate and patient Flexible schedule
