- Part-time Busy Cardiology clinic in Barrington, IL is seeking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Setting:
Outpatient Clinic Schedule:
Part time 2-3 days per weekJob Description:
Participate in the care of outpatient cardiac patients in an independent and interdependent role. Provide care for patients with chronic and acute cardiac diseases including, but not limited to, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, CAD, PAD, carotid artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmias. Obtain and document comprehensive patient history. Must be proficient in physical assessment skills. Develop and implement treatment plan based on patient symptoms and diagnosis. Prescribe medications on the formulary of the supervising physician as appropriate to scope of practice. Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory testing related to cardiology. ECG interpretation knowledge. Educate and counsel patients regarding preventative care and cardiovascular risk reduction strategies. Plan and coordinate follow up for patients. Complete all necessary and required documentation for each patient encounter. May include supervision of stress testing. Mentor and collaborate with support staff in a friendly and professional manner, EPIC experience a plus.Job Requirements:
Graduate of accredited APN or PA program. Active APRN or PA licensure in the state of Illinois. BLS certification minimum. ACLS preferred. Good communication skills. Previous cardiology experience as RN or NP/PA preferred.- will consider new grads.
Pay:
$55.00- $60.
