As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care. Job Responsibilities Functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients; performs complete physical exams; interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs Works directly with care coordinator to ensure ancillary services are in place and timely Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities Collaborates with physician in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner Instructs and educates patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions Individual must become proficient in exercising autonomy in medical decision making and providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services Adhere to professional nursing standards and follow established protocols

Skills:

Strong clinical skills in providing direct patient care Knowledge of coding and billing practices in healthcare settings Excellent diagnostic evaluation skills
