Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The primary responsibilities include managing medical department objectives, conducting clinical occupational medicine practice, supporting corporate medical initiatives, partnering with business, and promoting employee health and wellbeing. Mon-Fri 8am-4:30 pm Key Job Elements Manage Medical Department Objectives and Personnel Clinical Occupational Medicine Practice Medical Examinations Disability/WC management Support Corporate Medical Initiatives Integrate with Business Partners (Connection to the business) Responsible for the site Emergency Response Program Promote Wellness/Wellbeing initiatives at the site Expanded Responsibilities Manage Medical Department Objectives and Personnel Implement and follow Medical Department policies and procedures Provide physician or health staff vacation and absence coverage, disability leave of absence coverage and CME/training coverage and similar Follow all Federal and State occupational medical requirements and laws, including
MIOSHA, HIPAA
Maintain all appropriate licensure, certifications, and training including PA and DEA licensure Conduct medical department audits Participate in Safety Observation Tours, Job checks, Job walkthroughs Concisely document all patient medical assessment and treatments in the Electronic Health Record Manage First Responders Clinical Occupational Medicine Practice Diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses as approved by the Medical Director and may include simple procedures Conduct medical surveillance and medical qualification examinations Participate in the management of disability and Workers Compensation including fitness for duty, return to work exams and employee placement Lead or participate in preventative occupational health activities: Ergonomics, Bloodborne pathogens, Travel medicine Lead or participate in medical emergency response team and activities at the plant level, including assisting/overseeing in training and acting as coordinator where indicated at a plant level where indicated including overseeing staff, managing budgets Support Corporate Medical Initiatives Training Special Projects Policy and Procedure review and creation Partner with the Business Provide Occupational health and medical support, guidance and information to plant manufacturing staff, HR, Union representatives, safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics staff as directed Promote Employee Health and Wellbeing Health education and coaching EAP services and support Attend Plant meetings including but not limited to Safety Review Board Meetings, Disability Improvement Process Meetings, Hazardous Materials Control Committee Meetings, Hearing Conservation Meetings, Labor BPD Review Meeting, Plant Manager Monthly Override Review, ADAPT (Accommodating Disabled People in Transition Meeting), Safety Meeting." Qualifications Master of Science degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree required Board certification is required Valid medical license in the State(s) of practice Preferably with experience in
