Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking qualified Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. In this role, you will conduct one-time, non-treatment evaluations to help Veterans receive the benefits they deserve. This is a flexible, ongoing PRN/Per Diem opportunity. You can choose to perform exams at a designated facility or schedule Veterans within your own existing practice. Key Responsibilities Perform one-time, non-treatment C&P examinations and separation health assessments. Conduct interview-based exams with physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Complete and submit standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of the exam. Review medical records and provide administrative follow-up, such as medical opinions or addendums, as required. Utilize a goniometer and demonstrate proficiency in evaluating musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Qualifications Active Nurse Practitioner license. Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery , or general medicine. Experience with Compensation and Pension exams is highly preferred but not required. Proficiency in diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions (including METs testing). Must have a personal laptop (PC-based; Mac is not compatible with reporting software). Ability to complete required DMA certification and orientation training prior to starting.

Southeast United States Flexible Hours:
Options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
Frequency:
Ongoing need for approximately one day per week.
