Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Relies on education, experience, professional training and judgement to accomplish responsibilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works under minimal supervision under the direction of the collaborating physician, as appropriate. May lead and direct the work of others within scope of practice. Clinical Practice Guidelines Adheres to mutually agreed upon Clinical Practice Guidelines and scope of practice with collaborating physician. Quality Delivers primary acute or chronic care focusing on the maintenance, achievement, and restoration of optimal functions of patients. Consistently exhibits a professional manner, appearance, and performance in the approach to job related duties in an effort to maintain high standard delivery of health care. When in contact with pediatric, adolescent, or geriatric patients, performs all patient care duties in a manner that demonstrates a humanistic attitude for the physical and psychological needs relevant to the age of the patient served. Promotes the quality and efficiency of his/her own performance by remaining current with the latest trends in field of expertise through participation in job-relevant seminars and workshops, attendance at professional conferences, and affiliations with national and state professional organizations. Teamwork Recognizes behaviors that impact the team function and implements strategies to optimize teamwork; serves as a mentor for team members. Seeks leadership opportunities, facilitates leadership development among colleagues. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
