Job Description

Overview This is a full-time, 40hr/week, in-person position located in Boston, MA at 1.0 FTE This shift will cover M-F 10:00am to 6:00pm Tufts University Occupational Health Services provides work-related medical services to university faculty, staff, and employees, with the goal of preventing and minimizing health risks. Student Health Services supports the educational mission of Tufts University by providing accessible and high-quality health care for a highly diverse student population. On the Boston campus, Tufts Occupational and Student Health Services will provide health services and same day health services to faculty, staff, and students using a unique blended model responding to the needs of Tufts? entire Boston community. Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to meet the medical needs of students, faculty, and staff, including evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries, disease prevention, health promotion, and routine primary care services. Mental health services for students are provided through a mix of on-site and virtual consultations. This position is for a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for a blended occupational health and student health department. The nurse practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides (1) routine ambulatory care. (2) occupational health services. Services are provided under the supervision of a nurse practitioner, the Boston site manager.
What You'll Do Essential Functions:
Evaluates, manages, and treats common ambulatory conditions. Evaluates, manages, treats and services occupational related conditions. Maintains accurate clinical records. Provides privacy and confidentiality to inquiries and access to personal medical records and information. Maintains current knowledge of relevant nursing practices, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality patient care. May be asked to provide nursing services as needed.
What We're Looking For Basic Requirements:
Master?s or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA) and at least 3-5 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting, such as: emergency department, primary care, and student or occupational health License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts (must be eligible to obtain NP/PA licensure in Maine) Demonstrated ability to work independently in inter-professional groups. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams. Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare technology. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to and knowledge of diversity, inclusion, and equity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Massachusetts workers? compensation law, HIPAA, OSHA, and ADA. Experience in reproductive health and gender affirming care. MA controlled substance prescribing license. DEA prescribing authorization in MA. Prior experience in University or College Health setting. Pay Range Minimum $106,100.00, Midpoint $132,600.00, Maximum $159,100.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
