Job Description

Join a community-focused behavioral health team serving Worcester and Auburn to provide compassionate, flexible psychiatric care for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. This locum opportunity is part-time and ideal for a clinician who enjoys working both in the clinic and out in the community as a member of a multidisciplinary Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. Pay and schedule
Compensation:
$110 per hour Typical schedule: 4-5 days per week, totaling about 24 hours weekly
EMR:
CareLogic What you'll do Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for high-acuity community-based clients Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with serious mental illness, adjusting medications as needed to optimize outcomes Work closely with social workers, nurses, therapists, and case managers under the Medical Director's supervision Participate in treatment planning, care coordination, and crisis stabilization efforts Provide both office-based visits and community outreach/home visits Keep clear, timely documentation in CareLogic Patient load and flow Program census is roughly 80 clients Weekly encounters will vary with acuity and care transitions—some weeks may involve as many as ~25 patient contacts, other weeks 10 or fewer Who we're looking for Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Active Massachusetts license required Active DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required Prior experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, community mental health, or working with serious mental illness is preferred Local candidates strongly preferred If you're motivated to deliver hands-on psychiatric care in a community setting and enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, this role offers meaningful work with a flexible part-time schedule.
