We are expanding our provider team and seeking a dedicated, Board Certified, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) contractor to help meet the growing needs of our community. Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Contractor) where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional mental health care to diverse patient populations. You will utilize your expertise in psychiatric nursing to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with various mental health conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine patient needs and treatment plans. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices. Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment as necessary for optimal outcomes. Provide psychotherapy services Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches. Educate patients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Basic qualifications Master's degree in Nursing with a specialty on Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to diagnose a variety of mental health disorders. Experience as a RN. DEA License in Maryland. Board Certified by the ANCC as a PMHNP Preferred qualifications Experience with tele-health services to enhance patient accessibility. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Familiarity with psychopharmacology and medication management protocols. Background in behavioral health settings, including inpatient or outpatient care. Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD-10 for accurate medical documentation. Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric practice experience post graduate experience practicing as a PMHNP Strong clinical skills in adult psychiatry; child/adolescent experience is a plus.
