Job Description

Premium NP Opportunity Hospice/Palliative Care Rockville, MD (Mostly Remote!) Montgomery Hospice, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their dedicated team serving Montgomery County and parts of Prince George s County . This is a premium, W2 direct hire opportunity with a well-established, not-for-profit hospice organization that s been serving the community for over 45 years.
Position Highlights:
Location:
Rockville, MD (main office) + local travel in Montgomery/Prince George s
Counties Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (30-min lunch)
Setting:
Hybrid mostly virtual, with: 2 clinic days/week (Tues/Thurs) in White Oak or Silver Spring 1 afternoon/week in-person SNF visit
Patient Volume:
Avg. 8 patients/day (mostly virtual)
Start Date:
ASAP (within 2 4 weeks post-credentialing)
Duration:
13 weeks with potential to extend
Requirements:
Certifications:
Board Certified (ANCC or AANP) DEA BLS (hands-on preferred or willing to complete)
Licensure:
Active MD NP license
Experience:
Preferred:
5 years NP experience, 2+ in hospice/palliative care Will consider candidates with any hospice/palliative experience
Skills:
Must be comfortable managing end-of-life care independently and prescribing opioids
Role Responsibilities:
Provide hospice/palliative care in collaboration with physicians Conduct virtual and in-person visits Review and certify patient eligibility for hospice Manage care plans and symptom control Serve as a medical resource for the interdisciplinary team
Compensation & Perks:
Salary:
$120,000 $160,000/year (W2)
Mileage:
IRS rate ($0.70/mile) reimbursed
Lodging:
Covered for non-local candidates (case-by-case)
