EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in nursing required. Valid Michigan licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and a valid State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse required. Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and be eligible for appropriate credentialing within 60 days of hire or transfer. Minimum two (2) years of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner experience preferred; preferably in Community Mental Health or FQHC setting preferred. Experience working with patients exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness preferred. Basic Life Support certification required; ACLS preferred. Must meet all Continuing Education requirements. Able to work cooperatively with staff and others in the delivery of service to patients. Must be comfortable with community outreach and working with patients exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness.
