Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This role requires expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history evaluations, to determine appropriate care plans. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices to deliver optimal patient care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients in various settings including outpatient clinics and hospitals setting. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge, technology, and best practices related to the field of nursing or physician assistance. Experience A Master's degree in Nursing or a Physician Assistant program is required; current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is essential. Previous experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or primary care settings is highly desirable. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic preferred. Familiarity with coding systems including ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding is advantageous for accurate billing processes. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and for educating patients on their health needs.
