Job Description

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunity Position Overview An established Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join its inpatient neonatal team. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment alongside neonatologists and multidisciplinary support staff while providing comprehensive care to critically ill newborns.

Level I Trauma Center EMR:
Epic Collaborative physician-supervised practice model Clinical Responsibilities Manage neonatal patients in a Level
III NICU
setting Attend high-risk deliveries and provide delivery room support Perform neonatal resuscitation Participate in daily patient management and care planning Collaborate with supervising neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams Document patient care in Epic EMR Required Procedures Delivery Room Attendance Neonatal Resuscitation PICC Line Placement Umbilical Line Placement Needle Aspiration Chest Tube Placement Patient Population Neonates Average patient volume: patients per APP per day Practice Environment Physician supervision available onsite Team-based care model APPs do not practice independently Opportunity to work within a highly specialized neonatal care team Qualifications Board Certified Nurse Practitioner Active Michigan License Current NRP Provider or Instructor Status Neonatal experience required New graduates will not be considered Additional Information Reason for coverage: Expansion of APP staffing model and workforce needs Credentialing timeframe approximately 120+ days Travel assistance available for qualifying providers Ideal Candidate Experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with strong NICU background Comfortable performing neonatal procedures independently Strong clinical judgment and critical care skills Team-oriented and collaborative approach to patient care
