Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive primary and specialty care across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with complex medical needs. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through thorough assessments, personalized treatment plans, and collaborative care. Duties Conduct detailed patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses. Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, and infectious disease care. Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, spinal taps, and dermal fillers with precision and sterile technique. Administer medications via injections or infusion therapies like IV infusion and dialysis, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for documentation of medical records, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT), and billing processes aligned with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on health coaching topics including nutrition, medication management, pain control, and disease prevention strategies. Participate in triage activities in urgent care or emergency settings; assist with hospital medicine rounds or ICU patient management when needed. Support interdisciplinary teams in discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and post-acute care coordination to optimize patient recovery pathways. Requirements Valid licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from an accredited body (e.g., NCCPA). Proven experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU (Level I/II Trauma Center experience preferred), or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques including sonography and laboratory specimen processing. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth; familiarity with telehealth platforms is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques. Ability to handle complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious diseases, hospice & palliative medicine, or occupational health issues. Excellent communication skills for patient care education and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams; experience working with children and seniors is a plus. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law is advantageous; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes is required. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance while managing sensitive patient information; physical ability to perform clinical duties including standing for extended periods. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
