JOB DETAILS
: Job Description This locum Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner opportunity in Petoskey, Michigan offers long-term overnight inpatient coverage within a collaborative hospital medicine team. The assignment is intended to address a recruitment gap and features a stable 7-on/7-off schedule, working alongside a nocturnist physician to manage adult inpatient patients. This role is ideal for an experienced, board-certified Hospitalist NP who resides in Michigan or within driving distance of the facility.Dates & Schedule Coverage Period:

Recruitment gap Job Details & Responsibilities Provide overnight hospitalist care for adult inpatient populations Manage a variable inpatient census and admissions as needed Collaborate with a nocturnist physician and other APP team members during night coverage Deliver care for adult medical patients outside of ICU/CCU settings Perform inpatient assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management Document all patient encounters using Cerner EMR Utilize DocTime for clock-in and clock-out tracking beginning July 1 Adhere to facility policies and travel reimbursement guidelines Required Skills & Qualifications Certified Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner- Required Board Certified
- Required Active Michigan NP license
- Required Must reside in Michigan or within driving distance; air travel candidates will not be considered
- Required Experience managing adult inpatient hospital medicine patients Ability to work independently in a nighttime hospitalist environment while collaborating with physician support Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
- Required Submission of rates at the time of name clear
- Required Employee Health Requirements Influenza vaccination for the 2024-2025 season
