Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Portage, MI 49024 $65
  • $70 an hour
  • Part-time, Full-time $65
  • $70 an hour
  • Part-time, Full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position available in a functional medicine, nutrition, and chiropractic wellness facility located in Portage, MI.
Under the supervision of our DO, this NP/PA will provide professional medical direction, oversight and direct patient care for the facility. Competitive wages. No on-call and no weekends.
The NP/PA needs to:
Be licensed to practice in the state of MI Present their record of practice (i.e. insurance history or claims of malpractice) Be open minded to holistic and natural medicine, rehab and non-drug therapies Present Medicare #(UPIN) or information needed to acquire Four years of experience is required Desirable (but not necessary): Primary Care experience is a plus Ability to do Trigger Point injections Ability to do SI Joint injections Ability to administer sub-Q or IV Familiarity with the following: Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy Medical Weight Loss protocols Nutrition and Allergy Treatments Role of the
MD/NP/PA
in the
Integrated Setting:
The
MD/NP/PA
is the portal of entry for all patients and all services. They are responsible for providing a variety of professional medical services including administering physical examinations, ordering films, reviewing diagnostic tests, and performing injections, if medically necessary. Participate in treatment team meetings where individual health plans are devised and reviewed with input from allied professionals (i.e. DC, LMT, LMSW, etc.). The
MD/NP/PA
is to write the order for the patient treatment. This plan should be the most efficacious, within 3rd party compliance guidelines, while utilizing the service centers available to the patient in the clinic.
