Job Description

A regional hospital in Hannibal, Missouri is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its inpatient hospitalist team as a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider. This role is an integral part of the acute care team, providing high-quality, evidence-based care for hospitalized adult patients in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Role Overview & Highlights:
Full-time nocturnist APP (NP/PA) role 12-hour night shifts with varied scheduling Independent and collaborative inpatient patient management Participation in Rapid Response and Code Blue events Procedural opportunities including endotracheal intubation (based on credentialing and training) Strong collaboration with on-site or immediately available nocturnist physician Focus on acute inpatient hospital medicine and critical care support Opportunity to work within a well-supported, team-based hospital environment
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Active, unrestricted Missouri NP or PA license (or eligibility) National certification (ANCC/AANP or NCCPA) required Active DEA registration (or eligibility) Current BLS and ACLS certification required (PALS preferred) 2 4 years of clinical experience preferred in: Hospital medicine Critical care Emergency medicine Experience with resuscitation and acutely ill patients preferred Prior airway management and intubation experience strongly preferred, or willingness to complete training and credentialing
