Job Description

MDB Health Services is the largest healthcare provider in long-term care in Mississippi, offering medical and psychiatric services to nursing homes and assisted living residents. We are seeking a compassionate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized wound care services to patients in long-term care facilities. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop personalized care plans for each patient. Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures. Continuously monitor and assess patients' progress in wound healing. Educate both patients and facility staff on effective wound care techniques and prevention strategies. Work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Manage pain related to wounds to ensure patient comfort.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current Nurse Practitioner license in specified location. Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care. Strong clinical skills in wound assessment and treatment, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
