Primary Care Nurse Practitioner - UNC Caldwell, Westpointe Medical Practice

Outpatient Primary Care APP (NP)- Western, NC UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. UNC Health Medical Group provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. Our 137 bed hospital is a member of the UNC Health System located in the Greater Hickory Area of Western, NC.

Position Features:

• Location- Westpointe Medical Practice, 2651 Morganton Blvd., Lenoir, NC 28645
• Hours- Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
• 36 patient contact hours per week

Summary:

A Nurse Practitioner functions as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high quality, cost effective care to patients within the APPs scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician. The APP reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education Requirements:

? Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (NP) program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

? Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner) in the state of North Carolina. ? Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.

Professional Experience Requirements:

? No prior experience required.

? Demonstrated clinical competency. ? Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills. ? Ability to work independently and collaboratively. ?
