Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Join the expanding team in our new state of the art 132 bed behavioral health facility! Prairie St. John's has been providing services for children, adolescents, and adults to address behavioral health and substance use challenges since 1997. Prairie offers inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services. Accredited by The Joint Commission, we are the largest, freestanding behavioral health facility in the region. More than 4,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Prairie St. John's. . We are currently searching for a full-time or part-time FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) where you will diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, perform physical exams, prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests during the patient's stay. This position requires you to work a rotation that includes holidays and weekends. We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates. We are not accepting any PMHNP's or interns at this time.
Typical Core Duties:
Patient Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive physical exams, review medical histories, and evaluate current symptoms.
Diagnosis & Treatment:
Determine diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe necessary medications and therapies.
Diagnostics:
Order and interpret laboratory, X-ray, and imaging results to monitor patient progress.
Care Coordination:
Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure continuity of care from admission through discharge.
Patient Education:
Counsel patients and their families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and medication manageme
Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
Advanced masters and doctoral degrees in advanced nursing. We are only hiring for FNP's and not taking PMHNP candidates at this time. Licensed by the States of North Dakota as an APRN Able to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation. Computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook
