Job Description

Description This is a contract position that offers an opportunity to work on-site in a fast-paced medical practice environment, where you will provide high-quality care to patients with a variety of urgent medical needs. As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients, collaborating closely with our medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is perfect for healthcare professionals seeking flexibility while contributing to a vital part of our community's health care system. The position offers a competitive salary based on experience. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations Diagnose and treat a variety of urgent medical conditions Perform minor procedures as required Order and interpret diagnostic tests Develop and implement treatment plans Educate patients on health management and preventive care Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate and timely patient records Requirements Associate's degree in Nursing or related field Active NP or PA license in the state of practice Previous experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care Basic life support (BLS) certification required
Schedule:
8a-8p No call Level III trauma Multiple locations
Patient Volume:
20-40 per day, depending on location
Procedures:
Sutures, splints, and abscess drainage Occupational health experience preferred Ability to read X-rays is a plus, but not required Full support staff available
EMR:
Cerner Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
