Healthcare Professionals accepted) Psychiatry/Mental Health-NP - A Non-profit healthcare system is seeking an experienced PMHNP for their Intensive Outpatient Services (IOS). The PMHNP provides assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients. Participates in the development and achievement of the philosophies, goals, and missions of the IOS Program. Maintains a caseload of individual outpatients in the Outpatient Medication Management and Counseling Program. Gathers pertinent information from all sources: history, diagnostic tests, comprehensive physical examinations, and behavioral and developmental assessments to establish the appropriate priorities of care. Provides Psychiatric consultations including clinical assessments and continuous patient management if needed for patients with complex health care needs on medical units. Arranges referrals and consultations with non-medical health care providers and arranges for medical consultations after discussion with primary provider as indicated. Writes orders, including diagnostic tests and medication orders (non-narcotic and narcotic) to accomplish acute and long-term plan of care. Performs treatments and orders|administers pharmacological therapies as indicated by interpretation of clinical data according to established protocols and current standards for psychiatric nurse practitioner practice. Evaluates patient physiological and behavioral responses to interventions for revision of management plan and documents changes in the medical progress notes.
