Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult patients. Your expertise will support health promotion, disease prevention, acute and chronic illness management, and patient education. You will work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care that adheres to all regulatory standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations, health assessments, and vital sign monitoring to evaluate patient health status. Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions across various age groups, utilizing evidence-based practices. Manage medication administration, including injections, IV infusions, and dermal fillers, ensuring proper documentation and patient safety. Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and sterile processing with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation, coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), and billing processes. Provide telehealth consultations to extend care access and support patients remotely in managing their health needs. Collaborate with specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans. Engage in patient education on topics like family planning, nutrition, memory care, Alzheimer's care, and post-acute discharge planning. Participate in clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery standards. Support triage activities by assessing urgent cases in emergency room or urgent care settings while prioritizing patient safety. Experience Valid Family Nurse Practitioner certification with current state licensure. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), emergency rooms, ICU/PICU units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth platforms. Strong background in acute care procedures like ventilator management, oxygen therapy (including neonatal ventilator), phlebotomy, venipuncture and catheter care. Experience managing complex cases involving pain management (acute & chronic), wound suturing or esthetic laser treatments preferred. Familiarity with specialty areas such as gastroenterology procedures (gastric lavage), cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (specular exams), or dermatology (dermal fillers). Knowledge of medical coding systems including CPT codes for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses (ICD-10/ICD-9). Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as trauma centers or hospital medicine units while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Skills in case management for patients with disabilities or developmental delays; experience working with pediatric populations including toddlers and neonates is advantageous.
