Job Description :

PsychServe Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to support behavioral health services within a collaborative hospital based environment. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary psychiatric team focused on delivering compassionate, high quality mental health care to adult patients in an acute inpatient setting. This role is ideal for a clinically confident NP seeking a consistent part-time schedule with strong physician collaboration and administrative support.

Position Overview :

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide inpatient psychiatric care for adult behavioral health patients, including evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and coordination with hospital staff and consulting providers. The NP will work closely with psychiatrists, nursing teams, case management, and hospital leadership to support safe and effective patient care.

Schedule:

Part-time position Flexible weekday scheduling available No outpatient responsibilities Additional hours may be available based on census and coverage needs

Responsibilities:

Perform psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments for inpatient behavioral health patients Manage psychiatric medications and treatment plans Monitor patient progress and response to treatment interventions Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, social workers, therapists, and hospital leadership Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team discussions Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care coordination Support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives within the behavioral health program

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nursing with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification required Active state NP license and

DEA PMHNP

certification required Inpatient psychiatry or behavioral health experience preferred Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills Ability to work independently within a collaborative team structure EMR proficiency required
