Overview:
Barnabas Health Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Neurosciences APP's•CMC department This role involves coordinating emergent inpatient care in collaboration with attending physicians The successful candidate will provide patient care in accordance with practice policies and New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners guidelines, functioning as an independent healthcare provider
Responsibilities:
Coordinates emergent inpatient care through collaboration with the attending Physician Organizes and achieves quality performance in new routine Coordinates aspects of patient care Performs appropriate assessments and treatment for patients Performs appropriate interpretation of laboratory/diagnostic testing Performs basic bedside procedures such as central line removal, feeding tube insertion, rhino rocket insertion Performs duties independently and coordinates care with the bedside nurse, attending physician, and other consulting providers Regularly communicates with nursing staff concerning patient care issues

Night (3 twelve hour shifts weekly, every third weekend requirement)
Requirements:
Acute care certification preferred FCCS certification preferred 1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferred Current APN or PA certification Current NJ state license, CDS and DEA Current BLS and ACLS required
Preferred:
2-3 years of inpatient, acute care, and neuroscience experience
