Per Diem Psych APN - Outpatient Co-Occurring Substance-Use & Mental Health Treatment Center

Rubicon Behavioral Healthcare offers both a substance use co-occurring disorder treatment program and a primary mental health program, providing comprehensive care across a range of clinical needs.

Immediate Need:

Day shifts : 9a-5p

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical and psychiatric services directly to the clients in both programs.
• Responsible for the planning, implementation, and/or coordination of all psychiatric treatment services delivered to clients.
• Completes initial medical assessments and develops the plan of care. Assists in the development of treatment plans and medical care plans for clients.
• May complete admission assessment, history and physical examinations, intermittent assessments and recommendations, and client discharge summaries.
• Assesses the physiological and behavioral health status and assesses the psychosocial health status of the adult client.
• Demonstrates respect and non-judgmental attitudes toward clients in all contacts with community professionals and agencies.

Requirements:

• Advanced Practice Nursing license in NJ (active license)

• PMHNP-BC

  (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified)
• BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substance Certificate (NJ CDS) preferred.
• Drug Enforcement Administration Controlled Dangerous Substance Certificate (DEA) preferred.
• Organizational and administrative skills
• Able to communicate effectively (both written and oral skills)
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with health and safety issues
• Two years of Sobriety prior to application (if applicable).
• KIPU experience is a plus
