Family Practice Nurse Practitioner Lovington Medical Clinic •4-12 hour shifts Location 1600 N. Main Street, Lovington, NM, 88260, United States Job Category Advanced Care Practitioners Employee Type Full-Time Manage Others No Contact information Name Tammy Armitige Description With the supervision of a Physician, performs complete histories and physicals on patents of all ages to establish and record patent's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patents and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. NP's practice in a setting that requires the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to manage acute and chronic health problems. Must have the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. Performs all duties and services in full compliance with NLHD's policies and protocols. Examines, diagnoses and treats patients of all ages Acts as primary consultant on all cases referred by other staff providers of NLHD. Completes medical charts after each visit. Assists in internal quality control audits Provides quality medical care according to standards established by the NLHD quality assurance program. Supervises medical assistants and lab personnel in area of specific support services for patient care delivery. Requirements Education Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Program. Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies and/or New Mexico licensed certificate to practice. Experience Depending on practice. Licensure/Certification/Registration Must have Prescriptive authority. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated competency and the ability to perform advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan development and invasive procedures as per clinical privileges. Physical Requirements Ability to push/pull patients as part of a team to various positions, to move/push medical equipment and supplies. Requires extensive walking, sitting and stair climbing. Ability to obtain safety precautions against blood borne pathogens by using protective gear.
