Full Job Description Nurse Practitioner Infusion Care Reno, NV Benefits Offered:

Part-Time (2-3 days a week) Infusion Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a strong knowledge of and passion for IV Infusion Therapy and Functional Medicine. This position primarily offers daytime shifts with no major holidays or weekends required. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing direct patient care and clinical oversight to a diverse patient population in an outpatient infusion setting, including the administration and management of IV biologic therapies. This role also includes collaborating with and providing leadership, support, and clinical guidance to the healthcare team to ensure the highest standard of patient care and safety.Requirements:
o Master's degree is required o Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license o Must have current unrestricted APRN license. o At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is a must o Thorough knowledge and understanding of protocol, procedures, and standards within the area of infusion expertise is preferred. Knowledge and passion for Functional Medicine and Aesthetics are also preferred. o Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment. o Infusion Therapy experience preferred but not required. o Weight loss management and HRT preferred but not required.Primary responsibilities will include:
o Assess new and current patients to determine if they are appropriate for infusion therapy and concur with referring providers' orders o Assess and treat any infusion reactions following company protocols o Perform routine or annual history and physical examinations as needed for new patients o Providing patient education regarding infusions as necessary o Answer patient questions regarding therapies and side effects, in person and over the phone o Implement physician orders and maintain ongoing communication with providers regarding patient status, treatment progress, and continuity of care. o Collaborate with referring physicians in developing an individualized plan of care for patients when needed o Maintaining accurate and complete documentation Additional responsibilities may include: o Preparing patients for their infusions and initiating and implementing the patient care plan o Preparing and administering medications and intravenous solutions o Assess patient data and laboratory results, distinguish between normal and abnormal findings, and initiate appropriate follow-up and intervention as needed o Conducting PICC line placement, Midline placement, ultrasound-guided IVs, and dressing changes o Educating patients on chronic disease management o Conducting and/or assisting with Functional Medicine and Aesthetic-related duties At Infusion Care, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming workplace.
