Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations. Develop personalized treatment plans integrating acupuncture with other modalities such as botulinum toxin treatments or esthetic laser procedures when appropriate. Manage acute pain conditions, chronic illnesses, and wellness programs across various settings including outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, or hospital environments. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Athenahealth, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases involving gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, or infectious disease care. Educate patients on treatment options, post-procedure care, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health goals. Knowledge of acupuncture techniques combined with familiarity in botulinum toxin treatments and esthetic laser procedures is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and documentation standards. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, patients with disabilities or developmental challenges. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is a plus. Ability to perform sterile procedures like venipuncture, catheterization, and injections while maintaining infection control standards.
