Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team for our primary care office. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, perform medical assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes across all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in various clinical settings including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and assisted living facilities. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history reviews, and diagnostic evaluations. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions across a broad spectrum of specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine. Administer injections, including immunizations, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and other injectable therapies while ensuring proper sterile techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Perform procedures like suturing, venipuncture, catheterization, tube feeding management, and sterile specimen collection with precision. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support remote patient management. Collaborate with specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, and critical care to coordinate comprehensive patient services. Requirements Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU/CCU units (Level I/II trauma centers preferred), nursing homes, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD-10 coding standards, CPT coding procedures for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and patient management. Proficiency in performing advanced procedures like spinal taps, sonography-guided injections, airway management techniques including ventilator support, and acute pain management strategies. Critical care experience with familiarity in ICU protocols is highly desirable. Skills in triage assessment for urgent care settings along with experience managing patients with complex needs such as dialysis patients or those requiring hospice & palliative care. Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Additional qualifications include experience in medical-surgical units, post-acute care settings, behavioral health integration, telehealth platforms, and familiarity with Workers' Compensation law or utilization review processes.
