Family Nurse Practitioner

Mountain Medical Services is looking to hire a per-diem to part-time FNP to work in our Saranac Lake office. We are a walk-in office for acute care and occupational medicine, currently open 3 days a week. We are looking for someone to cover sick/vacation time as needed each month. DOT certification preferred, we can provide training to take certification as well. Salary is dependent on experience.

Main skills needed:

• Peds and adults
• general GYN
• suturing - ranging from simple staple closure to complex lacerations and multi-layer closures
• EKG & X-ray reading
• start IVs and administer fluids
• I&D
• minor dislocation reduction
• splinting
• strep, flu, mono and urine testing.
• DOT physicals, occupation medicine Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and special populations such as assisted living residents and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as gastroenterology, behavioral health, pain management, infectious disease care, and geriatrics. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Provide patient education on health coaching topics including nutrition, medication adherence, disease prevention, and post-acute discharge planning. Qualifications Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner with valid certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Pay:

$65.00 - $83.00 per hour
