Per Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:

Practice in Saratoga Springs, New York! Saratoga Hospital is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for per diem coverage , supporting the Women's Health Unit.

Responsibilities include:

Newborn rounds, admissions and discharges, attendance at highrisk deliveries, and routine neonatal care. Candidates must be comfortable practicing independently in neonatal assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including procedures.

Call Responsibilities:

Call is from home with a 30-minute response time or there are call housing facilities located onsite.

Required procedural skills include:

Blood draws Intubation Peripheral IV placement CPAP initiation neonatal resuscitation Stabilization Umbilical line placement Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential. The NP or PA will work closely with nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and families to provide education on newborn and postpartum care (including feeding and basic care). Qualifications New York State License to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner by the time of credentialing NRP certification Maintains current level of knowledge relative to professional practice Maintains all required professional documentation, such as license, certifications, infection control, ACLS/BLS, DEA as well as system requirements.
